222!!! (That’s .8 pounds down in one day!)
And it’s also .8 pounds below my last injection weight.
I never thought this would work like this. Not while I feel like I’m eating so much. I’ve been stuffed.
Still committed to getting in 1500 calories. I really don’t want to crash my metabolism. But it’s a hard mental block to overcome. Eat more to lose weight??
Whatever works, I say.

Back down and a tiny bump.
This crazy thing may just work. I was so stuffed yesterday. I did’t think I could eat any more and I felt so full.
I was totally prepared to be up again today and doing a correction day already today.
Can’t wait tiil tomorrow.

Day 2, Phase 3

Okay, up 1.1 pounds. Not panicking yet. I can see where I didn’t eat all the right things yesterday. Those apple rings are a no-no. how did forget that?
And there was Agave in my kale chips which seems to be a sugar.
Also, transition day. We’ll see….

Day 1!!! Phase 3

No change. Yesterday was a no shot day and I did the VLCD with no loss at all. I believe there isn’t any significant of HCG still in my system. So, I decided to start P3 today instead of tomorrow. I couldn’t see doing another day of too few calories with no result.
Still, I’m focusing on a slow transition. I will aim for 1000-1200 calories today. My ultimate target is 1500 calories a day. And no starch, no sugar.
That’s my commitment and as much as I want to just let it all go and have a carb fest today, I won’t.
I didn’t break into the teens and I sure don’t want to go back up from here.
It’s a Sunday and that makes it harder. Nothing more fun than snacking on Sunday…
Oh well.
I was so satisfied and full after breakfast, I didn’t think I could eat again today. As it was, we didn’t have lunch until after 2.
In the end I almost reached my 1500 calorie goal.
I need to find out what my fat/carb/protein pie chart should look like.
For Phase 3, my food will be at My Fitness Pal. I made it public in case anyone is interested.
I hope I didn’t gain today. It seems pretty common, but that will be pretty hard to deal with.

Day 43, VLCD

No shot today. I’m absolutely one day at a time now. It was only .2 loss from yesterday and if it’s that or less tomorrow I’ll make that my second no shot/vlcd day and be on to phase 3. If, however, I get a good drop (more than .5) I’ll do a couple more injection days.
I’d love to get out of the twenties and into the teens before P3. It would give me a nice comfort buffer.
Either way, I’m okay with it.
Still sick of the food in a major way, although I’ve managed to enjoy my meals when they come.

Day 42, VLCD

Can you believe how well this is working now that I’m done?!!
Oh well. I will surely utilize the extra day I have tomorrow too.
I think that my workout might have added to the extreme hunger yesterday, but it all worked out on the scale, so I’m not complaining.
I did eat a lot of extra meat, but maybe I needed it.
Of course, there’s no way to know for sure.
I kind of wish I had a few more shots.
So this is day 40 of actual VLCD. The first two days were the gorge. Still 42 days of HCG injections.
B: ground beef 3oz (it’s the only thing I wanted. Yogurt was not do-able)
Workout 30 min. interval elliptical
L: lettuce, tuna, red onion, mustard, 1/2c applesauce
D: 3 egg whites, one whole egg, asparagus, one onion

How can I stop now? It’s finally working steadily. I have two more shots after today and will take it one day at a time.
Because then there are the two days after when the HCG is still in my system and I need to stay on the VLCD to get results from that.
I can only do that if the first day rewards me.
I am DONE!!
I’m so hungry. I ate too much meat for dinner and I actually just licked a bit of a chip. I’m near desperate to eat something ELSE.
My cycle is starting to flow… slowly still. We’ll see how this translates.
My food was completely wonky today. I couldn’t choke down any more greek yogurt.
B: 1/2 c. applesauce
workout: 30 min. interval elliptical
L: one hard boiled egg
Sn: 3/4 c. blueberries
D: 6 oz cooked ground beef, one big onion, 1.5 Persian cucumbers
One licked chip.

Day 40, VLCD

Day 40 is finally here. And my cycle is finally starting.
I have two shots left and I will do one tomorrow and see if I still get a good loss. Then I’ll decide about the other one. I have zero tolerance for a stall at this point. But I also want to eek out any more ounces I can before I go to phase 3.
I really wanted to be in the teens. Now I hope to be as close as I can.
I’m hoping for a good reading tomorrow. Aren’t I always?

Kind of a topsy turvy food day, but within bounds I feel.

As long as it keeps moving…

I had a great workout this morning. 45 minutes interval on the elliptical. I did it at about 50% of my intensity, but I got good and sweaty. I can’t wait to work out harder next week.
I was extremely nauseous afterward. I think it’s hormones and I believe my cycle is finally starting to start. It could still be days. Such is the life of the peri-menopausal.
I made it through. Though I don’t know how much longer I can last.
B: yogurt, stevia
Workout 45 minutes
L: chicken breast 3.5 oz., lettuce, 1 apple (combined the half from breakfast)
Sn: apple, 2 egg whites
D: lettuce, 3.5 oz steak

Day 38, VLCD

225.4 (Holy Mackerel, another good day)
Now I’m trying to remember EXACTLY what I did so that I can do it again.
I’m pretty sure it doesn’t work that way.
Fingers crossed again. I need to lose some more pounds before my injections end.
I do have 2 extra injections that I plan to use. If I’m still losing, why not?
Then that next two days of VLCD with no injections is a mental hurdle, but I’m in. Could be more losses.
I’m planning very specifically the first week of P3. Nothing can be left to chance or I’ll binge. I’m so hungry for taste, crunch (that’s not lettuce… carbs!)
I’m going to go to the gym at least twice that week and will workout at home (elliptical) at least 3 days. The workouts will save me.
I know I can get plenty of calories and that should feel great.
Oh, and there will be a day for eating snacks soon. Not yet, but sometime in the near future. I’ll do an apple day the next day… but the thought of it is keeping me going through the last of this.
…and chicken is starting to repel me.
